A 17-year-old woman, on Thursday, reportedly drowned in Asa river at Concord Holdings Property, Kulende space of Ilorin, the Kwara capital.

Based on the Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) some personnel of the State Fireplace Service found the drowned woman and eliminated her lifeless physique from the river.

Head of Media and Publicity of the fireplace service, Mr Hakeem Adekunle, whereas talking with NAN on the incident, described it as unlucky.

He stated that the identification of the sufferer had but to be identified, including, nonetheless, that her corpse had been handed over to the divisional police station, ‘D’ division, Kulende, Ilorin.

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the state Police Command, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, said that he was not but conscious of the incident.
