The Unbiased Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC) will resume Steady Voters Registration (CVR) nationwide within the second quarter of 2021.
Wunmi Balogun, INEC Head of ICT, Ibadan, gave the trace on the coaching of electoral officers and assistants electoral officers of Polling Models (PUs) in Ibadan on Monday.
Balogun disclosed that the fee would use INEC Voters Enrolment Units for the CVR as a substitute of the Direct Information Capturing Machine.
Mutiu Agboke, Oyo INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) stated the coaching was to deal with the challenges confronted by voters on entry to polling items throughout elections.
“What we’re doing is to x-ray the paper that now we have with our workers, significantly these manning our places of work within the Native Authorities Areas (LGAs) and their assistants.
“These officers have been taken by the method to grasp the challenges confronted by voters in accessing polling items,” NAN quoted him as saying.
The official assured INEC will work out methods to make sure that the problems concerning extreme voter turnout in sure areas are resolved.
