The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Monday Bala Kuryas has visited the Omor group in Ayamelum LGA on a fact-finding mission, over the current kidnap of 5 individuals by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

The victims had been allegedly Kidnapped final Saturday alongside the Idani-Kogi expressway, within the native authorities space, whereas driving alongside the highway in a personal automobile.

The Anambra State Police Command’s Spokesperson, CSP Haruna Mohammed who disclosed the commissioners go to in a press launch stated Kuryas visited the world to examine the extent of deployment of safety males to the world.

Mohammed stated, “The CP who was accompanied by the Commanding Officer, 302 Artillery Regiment, Col Abdulsalam A. Sambo, additionally visited HRH, the Igwe of Omor, Dr. Chris Chidume Oranu, at his Palace.

“The CP expressed concern over what he described as an unlucky incident and guaranteed the Igwe that the Command had commenced investigations to rescue the hostages, verify the circumstances surrounding the incident and apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous act to carry them to justice.”
