The federal authorities on Thursday stated it has invested over N100 billion within the aviation sector within the final 5 years.
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika who was represented by the Minister of State for Science and Expertise, Barr. Mohammed Abdullahi made this identified in the course of the eighth version of the aviation staff week in Abuja.
Sirika stated the funds have been used for airport gear and workers coaching and in addition for ending some initiatives which have been deserted by the final administration.
“The federal government deployed sources to equip state governments by way of varied interventions.
“From 2015 until date, the federal authorities has deployed over N100 billion to develop the aviation sector.
“When this authorities got here on board in 2015, there have been many airport initiatives that have been deserted, mainly due to lack of funds and due to arguments over contractual obligations, so the federal government weighed a few of these challenges and dedicated funds in direction of them.
“The funds have been used for airports improve, procurement of apparatus, coaching of workers, settling of related emolument, navigation gear, climate gear and so many others. So it was entire business intervention,” he stated.
