Ayo Fasanmi was actively concerned in restoration of democracy – Atiku

Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President, has stated that the late Pa Ayo Fasanmi, a distinguished chief of Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, was actively concerned within the push for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria.

Atiku defined that Fasanmi belonged within the elite membership of the founding fathers of Nigeria, including that he can be sorely missed.

DAILY POST remembers that Ayo Fasanmi died final week Wednesday.

His son, Folabi famous that the elder statesman died “on the ripe age of 94 years.”

Reacting to the event, Atiku in a tweet on his official Twitter deal with on Tuesday morning wrote: “Chief Ayo Fasanmi belonged within the elite membership of the founding fathers of our nation.

“He was additionally actively concerned within the push for the restoration of democracy. He can be sorely missed.

“My ideas & prayers are along with his household. Could God Almighty grant his soul everlasting relaxation.”
