Azman Air tyres burst while landing in Lagos

The Accident Investigation Bureau, Nigeria (AIB-N) has stated it’s investigating an incident involving a boeing 737-500, with nationality and registration mark, 5N-SYS belonging to Azman Air.

Mr Tunji Oketunbi, the Basic Supervisor (Public Affairs) of the Bureau in an announcement on Thursday, stated that the plane, with 49 passengers and 6 crew members onboard was en-route Lagos from Abuja when it suffered burst tyres on touchdown on Runway 18R.

He stated that there was no damage or fatality.

In line with him, “Because the investigating company, AIB wants and hereby solicits for the help of the passengers and members of the general public.

“We would like the general public to know that we might be amenable to receiving any video clip, related proof or info on the intense incident that may help us with this investigation.”

“The Bureau will admire that most of the people and press respect the privateness of the folks concerned and never assume the reason for the accident till formal report is launched, ”NAN quoted him as saying.

The spokesman stated that the bureau will quickly launch the preliminary studies or replace the general public the place obligatory.
