Bandits allegedly kidnap one, injure two in Niger village attack

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Courtroom on Wednesday ordered the remand of a faux Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Okoye Charles, in Ilesa Correctional Facility for alleged impersonation and fraud.

The Justice of the Peace then adjourned the case till March 1 for judgement.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Kayode Adeoye had instructed the court docket that the defendant dedicated the offences on Feb. 19, 8:30 pm, at Dugbe Police Station in Osogbo.

Adeoye stated the defendant allegedly paraded himself as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) earlier than the general public to defraud them earlier than he was apprehended.

He stated that the offences dedicated by the defendant contravened Sections 484 and 249 (d) of the Felony Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Legal guidelines of Osun, 2002.
