Bandits: Nigerians’ll be informed if ransom was paid to release abducted students – Presidency

The Presidency has stated Nigerians can be knowledgeable if ransom was paid to safe the discharge of kidnapped college students.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina disclosed this whereas noting that the President cannot pay ransom to impact launch of scholars.

Showing on Channels Tv, Adesina stated if ransom could be paid, there are companies to carryout such not the President.

He stated: “If ransom was paid, we’ll inform the nation that ransom was paid, and if it isn’t paid, it could additionally say so.

“If there was cost, it could be disclosed. That’s what I’m saying, and if there was cost, it won’t be my responsibility, as a result of I communicate for the president.

“The president won’t be the one to pay the ransom. The companies that may pay the ransom have spokesmen, who can verify or deny if ransoms have been paid.”
