The Bauchi State authorities has suspended an Islamic preacher, Malam Abubakar Idris from additional preaching and main congregational prayers in any a part of the State for what it termed “curiosity of peace”.
Malam Idris’s suspension was conveyed in a letter addressed to the Azare, Katagum Native Authorities Space-based cleric, signed by the state Commissioner for Non secular Affairs, Group Relations and Social Welfare, Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Jalam.
The letter, with reference quantity: MORAG&CR/S/OFF/04/11/26, dated twenty seventh April, 2021, is titled, “Violation of the ethics of preaching and sermons within the state”.
Jalam acknowledged that report on the authorities’s disposal revealed that Idris was castigating the companions of Propjet Mohammed in his preaching.

He added that Malam Idris is suspended from preaching and main congregational prayers in any a part of the state, advising the cleric to abide by authorities’s instruction in “your personal curiosity”.
“Consequently, you’re suspended from conducting preaching and main congregational prayers in any a part of the State within the curiosity of peace.
“You’re suggested to abide by this instruction in your personal curiosity because the safety companies will guarantee strict compliance,” he mentioned.
