There was pandemonium on Tuesday in Akure, the Ondo State capital following a conflict amongst members of the Nationwide Street Transport Employees within the state.
Some members of the union allegedly loyal to the NURTW Chairman, Jacob Adebo popularly often known as Idajo had been mentioned to have attacked a rival group.
Through the fracas which rocked outdated storage and different motor parks within the state, a member of the rival group recognized as Shina Ademola Ademoyegun was killed after he was shot, whereas one Adeyemi Samuel Ojuyobo and Akinyemi Bayo sustained accidents.
Previous to the Tuesday disaster, the warring teams had been reportedly summoned by the Nationwide Chairman of the union, Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa and the Zonal Chairman, Olamilekan Salami to Osogbo, Osun State on Monday to dealer peace between the 2 rivalry teams.
On the assembly which resulted in a impasse, Idajo was mentioned to have been instructed to place the Ondo Chapter of the Union so as and permit the rival group to renew operation on the storage.
In response to the rival group, they had been attacked upon resumption on the storage on Tuesday morning.
As on the time of submitting this report, the group had marched to the palace of Deji of Akure to specific their grievances.
