Nigeria’s herder-farmer battle may escalate to wider violence if federal and state governments fail to implement the Nationwide Livestock Transformation Plan (NLTP), the Worldwide Disaster Group (ICG) has warned.
In a 26-page report printed on its web site on Tuesday, titled ‘Ending Nigeria’s Herder-Farmer Disaster: The Livestock Reform Plan’, the Brussels-based world battle analysis and prevention group described the NLTP because the “most complete technique but” in direction of ending herder-farmer violence which has claimed hundreds of lives within the nation in recent times.
