Buhari unveils plans to reduce fuel price below N100 per litre

The federal authorities has disclosed plans to crash the value of refined petroleum merchandise beneath N100 per litre.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Particular Assistant on Niger Delta Affairs, Ita Enang mentioned the price of petroleum merchandise would crash when Nigeria refines the merchandise domestically.

Talking at a press convention in Abuja, Enang mentioned the presidency in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Finance, Price range and Nationwide Planning, has concluded plans to carry a nationwide convention on integrating artisanal/modular petroleum refinery operations geared toward bettering the capability of the merchandise and crashing the costs of petroleum merchandise.

Enang defined that the convention will work to combine native refining capability into refining petroleum merchandise.

“As the price of crude goes greater, the value of refined petroleum merchandise goes greater but when we refine these petroleum merchandise in Nigeria, the fee will probably be very low.

“The intendment of the convention is to mobilise these sources in order that we are able to deliver the costs of refined petroleum merchandise right down to beneath N100 per litre.”
