Two suspects have been arrested for killing a child.
An unborn child died two days after its pregnant mom was hit by a stray bullet within the abdomen.
The dreadful incident allegedly occurred on 14th of July.
The police in KwaZulu-Natal mentioned the stray bullet was shot throughout an tried theft.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele mentioned two suspects aged 21 and 33 had been arrested on Tuesday. following the incident that allegedly occurred on 14 June.
In response to Mbele, the incident occurred round 9.30pm when the 2 suspects allegedly tried to rob a person who they fired at when he fled from the scene.
The sufferer was shot on the thigh however a bullet meant for the sufferer hit the pregnant girl in her room
“A stray bullet struck a pregnant girl who was seated inside a room and he or she sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Each victims had been rushed to the hospital for medical consideration. Sadly, the unborn child was licensed useless two days after the incident,” Mbele mentioned.
A case of homicide and tried homicide was opened on the Cato Manor police station for investigation.
