Clicks Group’s non-executive director, Nonkululeko Gobodo disclosed on Wednesday that a couple of months in the past, she notified the corporate’s administration of the best way it communicates with their black prospects.
She stated the disaster didn’t come out of nowhere.
She had earlier warned the administration staff to watch out with the best way they communicate with their black prospects.
She disclosed this amidst the racist saga occurring in opposition to Clicks after they revealed a TREsemme advert on their web site which labelled a black lady’s hair as “dry, broken and frizzy”.
“It’s very unusual really. Within the final strategic session, that is what I used to be asking. ‘How are you speaking to your black prospects?’ And there was even a plan and all of that.”
“And now a couple of months later, it’s confirmed that the plan isn’t working. We do need to insist on inclusivity, we would like an inclusive economic system,” she stated.
Clicks determined to close its doorways on Wednesday in an effort to present assist and counselling to its workers following EFF’s protests actions in opposition to Clicks.
Clicks stated that it will resume buying and selling on Thursday.
