Community accuse Edo Assembly Speaker of murder over land dispute

Indigenes of Obagie Uwa-Fiokun Neighborhood in Ovia North East Native authorities space, Edo State have accused the speaker of the Edo State Home of Meeting, Marcus Onobun of homicide over the dying of neighborhood youth chief, Mr Osaheni Osadolor throughout a protest.

They alleged he was brutally murdered by thugs suspected to have been sponsored by the speaker of Edo State Home of Meeting over a land dispute.

“The speaker led some fierce-looking thugs to disrupt actions locally and ordered his safety particulars to be capturing sporadically to disperse the neighborhood folks.

A youthful brother of the deceased, Osamwenyobor Osadolor who was a part of the protesters carrying totally different placards defined that his brother now deceased referred to as him that some individuals, led by the speaker got here to assault him locally, urging him to name the eye of safety brokers to come back to his help however sadly, it yielded no optimistic end result.

Addressing the protesters on the foremost gate of the Edo State Authorities Home, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP, Miller Dantawaye who represented the state commissioner of police, Phillip Ogbadu instructed the indigenes that the command underneath the brand new commissioner will do the needful in unravelling these behind the dying of late Osaheni.

“The police would embark on correct investigation and take acceptable motion to dispense justice he added.

Reacting to the allegation, Hon Marcus Onobun denied proudly owning any land or visiting the stated neighborhood in query.
