A Magistrates’ Courtroom in Ado-Ekiti on Monday remanded three suspects: Ariyo Bamidele, 42; Adeniji Kayode, 33; and Adeyeye Kayode, 25 on the correctional entre in Ado-Ekiti for alleged armed theft.
NAN reviews that the defendants are going through a cost of armed theft.
The Chief Justice of the Peace, Mr Adedayo Oyebanji, who didn’t take the plea of the defendants, ordered that they be remanded on the correctional facility, pending issuance of authorized recommendation.
He adjourned the case till March 22, for point out.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Johnson Okunade had instructed the court docket that the defendants dedicated the offence on Feb. 9 in Ijan-Ekiti.
Okunade alleged that they robbed one Fapohunda Ebenezer of his Bajaj Boxer motorbike valued at N270, 000 at gunpoint.
He stated the offence contravened Part 1 (2) (a) and (b) of the Theft and Firearms (Particular Provision) Act, 2004.
The prosecutor urged the court docket to remand the defendants within the correctional centre, pending authorized recommendation from the workplace of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
