Delta police reacts to police killings, commences action against suspects

The Nationwide Drug Regulation Regulation Enforcement Company, (NDLEA) Jigawa Command, stated it has arrested 36 suspects from three Native Authorities Areas of the State.

Hajiya Maryam Gambo, the company’s Commander, in an announcement on Friday, stated that the suspects have been arrested between Feb. 15 and Feb. 27, in Kirikasamma, Guri and Hadejia LGAs.

Gambo stated the arrests have been made in markets, outlets and different hideouts, in a decided effort to rid the state of unlawful sale and consumption of laborious medicine.

She defined that various kinds of laborious medicine, starting from hashish sativa (hemp) and psychotropic substances have been recovered from the suspects.

Based on her, the illicit medicine recovered from the suspects are Tramadol, Exol15, Diszepam, Prometazine injection and Lidocaine injection.

“In our effort to cleanse Jigawa of unlawful consumption and sale of laborious medicine, the NDLEA Jigawa command launched into a mission in Kirikasamma, Guri, Hadejia and different elements of the state to clamp on illicit drug actions.

“That is performed so as to cut back crimes and criminality, that are drug induced within the state.

“Drug is an agent provocateur of different crimes because it negatively modifications the temper of the person.

“The person, consequently, embarks on a mission he/she wouldn’t have dared to, beneath his regular senses,’’ she added.
