The Division of Petroleum Sources (DPR) has shut two filling stations in Lagos for under-dispensing of petrol.
Mr Ayorinde Cardoso, Zonal Operations Controller, DPR, Lagos, mentioned this after an inspection go to to eight filling stations situated in Ikorodu Highway, Oshodi-Apapa Expressway and Ikeja areas of the state.
Based on him, the sealed stations had been under-dispensing and have been sanctioned, NAN reviews.
He famous that they must pay their sanctions and can rectify their pumps to the suitable normal earlier than they’re reopened
“Then we are going to come again and re-evaluate the pumps earlier than they are often allowed to reopen,” Cardoso famous.
He added the intensification of routine surveillance by the DPR in Lagos was geared toward monitoring product value, high quality, availability, pump effectivity in addition to water ingress in some tanks.
Cardoso disclosed that the petrol stations inspected had been promoting gasoline between N162 to N165 per litre which was the permitted value band by the federal government.
Cardoso urged members of the general public towards panic shopping for forward of the forthcoming Easter season, noting that there was product sufficiency in Lagos State.
