Unlucky automobile crash attributable to suspected drunk driver has led to the demise of three policemen from Tshwane metro police division (TMPD).
They have been killed throughout a head-on collision with a suspected drunk driver early on Sunday morning.
In line with spokesperson, Issac Mahamba, the tragic accident occurred on the N4 between Trans Orange Street and Rebecca Road in Pretoria west.
“It was about 2am this morning when the officers noticed a car driving recklessly and going through oncoming visitors within the Pretoria CBD.”
“The officers tried to cease the car, which was driving in a westerly path, but it surely fled and officers gave chase,” he mentioned.
The officers referred to as for backup and have been joined within the chase by three officers in a TMPD car.
“The car in pursuit was then concerned in a head-on collision with the TMPD car that was giving backup. The TMPD officers that have been contained in the car all died on the scene.
