E-hailing drivers within the Gauteng province, Western Cape and Free State threatened that they are going to embark on a strike motion on Monday.
In line with the drivers’ complaints, they’re being “uncared for” and “exploited”.
They need the businesses they function underneath, specifically Uber and Bolt, to be regulated in order that they will now not be exploited.
The drivers made it recognized that they are going to droop operations from the early hours of Monday morning.
The drivers’ spokesperson Vhatuka Mnelengwa mentioned: “Within the spirit of it being Transportation Month, we felt it necessary to place collectively an indication to be able to convey our plight to the forefront”.
“We as operators really feel extremely exploited by app giants Uber and Bolt and assume it’s necessary that rules be put in place to guard us as operators,” mentioned Mnelengwa.
