EFCC arrests former Power Minister, Mohammed Wakil

The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC) has arrested a former Minister of State for Energy, Mohammed Wakil in his residence in Abuja on the weekend.

He can be arraigned within the Excessive Courtroom of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Monday over some funds involving Energy Holding Firm Restricted (PHCN).

The anti-corruption company had in June 2019 arraigned Wakil and 4 others on the Federal Excessive Courtroom, Maiduguri, Borno State.

That case was for alleged assortment of $115million from former Minister of Petroleum Assets, Diezani Alison-Madueke, forward of the 2015 presidential election.

Born on February 6, 1965, in Damboa Native Authorities Space of Borno State, the regulation graduate from the College of Maiduguri, was Minister throughout the Goodluck Jonathan administration.

He was a member of the Nationwide Meeting and Vice Chairman of the Individuals’s Democratic Get together (North East).
