Enugu: Oruku community leader shot dead weeks after Igwe’s murder

Samuel Ani, a neighborhood chief within the crisis-ridden Oruku neighborhood in Nkanu Native Authorities of Enugu State, has been murdered.

NAN studies that he was shot lifeless on Wednesday by gunmen.

Till his demise, Ani was the Vice Chairman, Oruku Caretaker Committee.

The Police Command in Enugu confirmed the assasination in a press release.

Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, stated a report was obtained at about 7.30 a.m on Wednesday.

Residents stated hoodlums, suspected to be among the many warring factions of Oruku Neighborhood, shot Ani at his residence.
