Fake ACP sent to prison for alleged impersonation, fraud in Osun

An Osogbo Chief Magistrates’ Courtroom on Wednesday ordered the remand of a pretend Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Okoye Charles, in Ilesa Correctional Facility for alleged impersonation and fraud.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Kayode Adeoye had instructed the courtroom that the defendant dedicated the offences on Feb. 19, 8:30 pm, at Dugbe Police Station in Osogbo.

Adeoye mentioned the defendant allegedly paraded himself as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) earlier than the general public to defraud them earlier than he was apprehended.

He mentioned that the offences dedicated by the defendant contravened Sections 484 and 249 (d) of the Felony Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Legal guidelines of Osun, 2002.
