The Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, has confirmed the postponement of plans to partially shut the Falomo Bridge in Victoria Island for repairs by the federal authorities.
Popoola advised NAN on Sunday, that the choice to droop rehabilitation works, was reached after a gathering with related stakeholders.
“After consultations with related stakeholders, we determined to postpone the rehabilitation work.
“A brand new date can be introduced for the partial closure and graduation of restore works quickly,” he stated.
He apologised to drivers and members of the general public for inconveniences attributable to the shift in date for the repairs.
Popoola on Friday evening introduced a plan to partially shut the Falamo Bridge, for six-week rehabilitation work.
