The Federal Authorities has introduced the reopening of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.
Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Works and Housing introduced the reopening on Saturday.
In a tweet, Fashola stated the bridge reopened from noon of Saturday.
He wrote: “Third mainland bridge rehab accomplished. Absolutely opens to site visitors at 12noon at the moment. Thanks all in your endurance. Drive safely.”
Recall that Fashola, who’s a former governor of the State had in the course of the week, stated the bridge will reopen for site visitors ‘’this weekend’’.
He had stated the lane markings and ending touches could be finished inside the subsequent 48 to 72 hours.
The Lagos State Authorities had shut down the Third Mainland Bridge on the twenty sixth February.
The Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde stated the full closure of the bridge will assist contractors transfer gear off the bridge.
