Former boxing legend, Marvin Hagler is dead

Former middleweight world champion, ‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler has died on the age of 66.

His spouse, Kay Hagler who introduced his passing on Fb stated he died unexpectedly at their residence in New Hampshire.

“At present, sadly I misplaced my beloved husband, Marvelous Marvin.

“He handed away unexpectedly at our residence right here in New Hampshire.

“It is a making an attempt time for our household and we’d respect all of the privateness we are able to get.

“I miss him already and do hope he’s in a greater place,”she stated.

Additionally, former world featherweight champion, Barry McGuigan in a tribute to Hagler stated he was “shocked and deeply saddened” to listen to of his sudden demise.

“I’m honoured to have spent some wonderful instances with him.

“My heartfelt sympathies to his spouse Kay and his household. Relaxation in Peace Champ,” he stated.

Earlier than his dying, Hagler dominated the middleweight division from 1979 till his controversial defeat by Sugar Ray Leonard in April 1987.
