Herdsmen: Hold gov Bala Mohammed responsible if anything happens to me – Ortom cries out

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has urged Nigerians to carry his Bauchi State counterpart, Bala Mohammed, accountable if something occurs to him.

Ortom mentioned Mohammed’s defence of Fulani herdsmen carrying AK-47 indicated that he was a part of an try and assassinate him.

He recalled that herdsmen had written to him in an try and assassinate him.

The Governor said this whereas addressing journalists in Makurdi, Benue State, yesterday.

Ortom mentioned: “I wish to suppose that, with what he mentioned and what these herdsmen wrote to me and mentioned that they have been going to assassinate me, Bala Mohammed can be a part of it, with what he has mentioned.

“And if something occurs to me, I don’t need anyone to be doubtful, Bala Mohammed must be held accountable. Particularly his final week outing after the condemnable remarks he made about Fulani carrying AK-47 and dwelling anyplace in Nigeria.”

Mohammed had every week in the past accused Ortom of perpetrating hatred towards the Fulani in Nigeria.

In the meantime, Ortom had accused Mohammed of teaming up with killer herdsmen to eradicate folks dwelling in some a part of the nation, together with his State.
