The performing Inspector-Normal of Police (IGP), Usman Baba Alkali has authorised the redeployment of two Deputy Commissioners of Police and 14 Assistant Commissioners of Police, amongst others.
Monday Bala Kuryas has been redeployed as Commissioner of Police (CP), Anambra State Police Command.
Kuryas is to get replaced by Christopher Owolabi.
Alkali defined the deployment was a part of ongoing efforts at re-ordering, overhauling, and strengthening the safety and policing structure in Anambra, South-East and South-South areas.
In an announcement, the Pressure Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, defined the redeployment will enhance the operational effectivity of the Instructions and improve public security and safety.
“In an identical vein, the IGP has ordered the posting of different strategic and tactical commanders inside the zones,” he mentioned.
