Insecurity: Gov Ganduje closes tertiary institutions in Kano

The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has ordered the closure of 4 tertiary establishments within the state.

This follows yesterday’s closure of ten boarding colleges within the state.

The choice turned needed following the kidnapping of over 300 feminine college students in neighbouring Zamfara State by bandits

The State Commissioner for Larger Schooling, Mariya Bunkure, in a press release on Saturday, mentioned, “The Kano State Authorities underneath the ready management of His Excellency, the Govt Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has directed the closure of some tertiary establishments within the state with speedy impact.”

RMK Faculty of Superior and Remedial Research, T/Wada; Faculty of Environmental Research Gwarzo; Faculty of Rural Expertise and Entrepreneurship Dev (SORTED), Rano and ABCOAD, Dambatta, are the colleges concerned.

The federal government suggested all college students and workers of the above talked about colleges to vacate the campuses as quickly as potential.

In accordance with the Commissioner, the federal government will announce the date for colleges reopening.
