The Non-Tutorial Employees Union (NASU) and Senior Employees Affiliation of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Lagos State College (LASU) Chapter, on Thursday suspended an indefinite strike over excellent arrears of minimal wage and different calls for.

Mr Moruf Sanni, Chairman, NASU, LASU Chapter, stated the employees suspended the strike to honour the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

“It was led by the Commissioner for Institutions and the federal government appealed to us to honour the governor by suspending the strike.

“After the suspension of the strike, we will come again to barter with the federal government regarding our points or calls for.

“We consider that the governor will do no matter he says,” Sanni stated.
Miss Zainab Adams, Public Relations Officer, Scholar Union, LASU, stated that the scholars had but to return to campus.

Adams stated that LASU administration can be assembly on Friday, to debate and announce a resumption date so college students may conclude examinations.
