Kagara: Schools becoming danger spots for bandits – NUT threatens FG

The Nigeria Union of Academics, NUT, has threatened to withdraw all academics’ companies within the affected states of the federation on account of insecurity within the nation.

NUT in an announcement tagged:” Terrorist Assault on Colleges and Abduction of College students/Academics One Incident Too Many”, signed by its Basic Secretary, Dr Mike Ike Ene, suggested the federal authorities to undertake a distinct method in tackling insecurity within the nation.

The Union expressed worries over the growing state of insecurity in Nigeria, stressing that faculties are quick changing into a hazard spot for bandits and different legal parts in Nigeria.

NUT mentioned this as they condemned the kidnapping of scholars and academics of Authorities Science Secondary College, Kagara, in Niger State by bandits.

The union demanded a state of emergency be declared on safety, including that the present method being deployed by safety companies was not yielding any significant fruit.

“We want to reiterate that educating and studying can solely be assured in a security and secured environment,” the assertion added.
