Dino Melaye, former Kogi West Senator, has accused the state Governor, Yahaya Bello, of brief altering councilors within the state.

Melaye alleged that Melaye was paying councilors N140, 000 as a substitute of N330,000 month-to-month.

The previous lawmaker made the allegation in a tweet, on Tuesday.

He identified that the councilors can’t cry out as a result of they have been all appointed the governor.

In a tweet, Melaye mentioned: “Wage for councilor statutory N250k per thirty days (sitting allowance N80k per thirty days N10k per sitting 8 sitting in a month). N330k per thirty days

“However the current Councilors in Yahaya Bello authorities earned N140k per thirty days, no sitting allowance. They will’t struggle it since they have been all appointed.”

That is coming at a time the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan backed the decision for native governments’ autonomy within the nation.

Lawan mentioned such autonomy would assist the third tier of presidency to successfully contribute in the direction of the event of Nigeria.

He burdened that through the years, native governments have suffered and crumbled resulting from lack of administrations to successfully discharge their constitutional roles.
