Kwara approves use of hijab in schools

The Kwara State Authorities has authorised the usage of hijab in colleges.

Mamma Sabah Jibril, Secretary to the State Authorities, introduced the choice in a press release Thursday evening.

He mentioned the administration consulted extensively with Muslim and Christian communities with a view to clarifying points and reaching a consensus.

The final of such conferences was held on Wednesday; Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq presided.

The federal government affirmed the correct of each youngster in public colleges to freedom of worship and directed the affected 10 colleges to renew lessons on Monday March 8, 2021.
