“The shopper supplied Metropolis Energy technicians R5,000 to be reconnected after his home was minimize off. The technicians agreed to come back again the next day to reconnect him and get the cash,” mentioned Mangena.
He added that the police had been alerted of this transfer and a sting operation was launched.
The person was arrested in his residence after he allegedly gave the technicians and the police with R1,500.
The police opened a case of bribery and the person has been detained on the Douglasdale police station.
