
A 30-year-old man has been arrested by the KwaZulu-Natal police after he was discovered with unlawful medication.
The KwaZulu-Natal police found an estimated R400 000 value of heroin powder in his possession.
The 30-year-old man from Richards Bay harbour was busted by the police on Saturday.
In accordance with Col. Thembeka Mbele, the bust was a results of an intelligence pushed operation.
“Police performed an intelligence pushed operation focused at stopping and confiscating medication that have been smuggled into the nation by way of the Richards Bay Harbour,” she stated in an announcement on Saturday.
“Border policing by law enforcement officials from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit resulted within the arrest of a 30-year-old man and the restoration of heroin powder.”
Col. Mbele confirmed that the person will seem in courtroom on the costs associated to the possession of medication.
“The house affairs division was alerted concerning the arrest,” Col. Mbele added.
