The Nationwide Id Administration Fee (NIMC) has warned Nigerians towards enabling extortion in the course of the enrolment strategy of their Nationwide Identification Quantity, NIN.
NIMC warned that it might not condone corrupt acts that may tarnish its picture.
The Director-Common/CEO, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, said this whereas declaring that the fee has zero tolerance for corruption, fraudulent actions within the strategy of enrolment and different actions.
His warning was contained in an announcement signed by Kayode Adegoke, Head of Company Communications of NIMC.
He mentioned: ”The Fee, lately, suspended some workers and terminated the appointment of some others who engaged in acts of extortion and unwholesome practices detrimental to its values.
“We name on most of the people to desist from being enablers of extortion as it might not condone any act able to destroying its hard-earned integrity.
“Bear in mind, enrolment for the Nationwide Identification Quantity (NIN) is free.”
