Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun mentioned the state authorities has put in a solar-powered chilly chain for the COVID-19 vaccines which have now arrived in Nigeria.
Abiodun mentioned this on Wednesday, throughout a gathering he held with all Ogun State’s 20 Native Authorities Transition Chairmen at his Okemosan workplace, Abeokuta.
In accordance with Abiodun, the State would prioritise frontline healthcare employees in administering the coronavirus vaccines.
The Governor expressed confidence that the herdsmen disaster within the State wouldn’t cease the vaccine from attending to the grassroots.
“We have now put in a solar-powered chilly chain for the COVID-19 vaccines which have now arrived in Nigeria, and might be prioritising frontline healthcare employees in its administration.
“On the assembly, we held with all Ogun State’s 20 Native Authorities Transition Chairmen earlier at present, I disclosed this as I expressed confidence that the current safety challenges that’s step by step phasing out is not going to cease the vaccine from attending to the grassroots,” he mentioned.
On the safety challenges going through the state, he mentioned, “two main measures are being put in place to deal with insecurity and entry to distant areas.
