Ortom reacts to attack on him by suspected herdsmen in Benue

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has confirmed the assault on him by suspected militia herdsmen in his farm at Tyo-mu, alongside Makurdi – Gboko street earlier on Saturday.

Ortom whereas briefing journalists on the Benue Peoples Home after the incident mentioned he was inspecting his farm when the militia herders, who had been wearing black ambushed him and his safety males and opened hearth.

He mentioned it took the swift response of his safety aides to repel the assault, whereas he ran a protracted distance to flee unharmed.

The Governor lamented that the assault got here just a few days after the management of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore held a gathering in Yola and singled him out as a thorn of their flesh that should be eradicated.
