Controversial Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, has referred to as on the Kaduna State authorities to pay ransom for the discharge of kidnapped greenfield college students.
Gumi talking on Kaduna Governor’s insistence to not negotiate stated no cash is simply too large to avoid wasting the lives of scholars.
He urged Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s to pay the ransom then go after the abductors in addition to retrieve the ransom after the scholars are saved.
Sheikh Gumi throughout an interview with AIT on Tuesday stated, ”5 souls had been killed. Why? What sum of money is simply too large for us to avoid wasting the lives of these 5 college students, what sum of money?
“Secondly, we may give them the cash to get the boys out of hazard then go after our cash. No person is saying you shouldn’t discover them, you will get the 2 again. “
The Islamic cleric puzzled the concept behind the federal government insisting on not negotiating but not taking motion concerning the abductions.
“To say you’ll not negotiate with them and in addition not take motion in opposition to them, I can not perceive that,” Gumi stated.
In the meantime, there may be anxiousness amongst Nigerians because the abductors of Greenfield college students threatened to kill them on Tuesday if the federal government fails to fulfill their demand.
5 out of twenty-two college students have been killed.
The demand made contains N100 million and 10 model Honda bikes which the gang chief known as ‘Boko Haram’.
