The Tutorial Workers Union Of Universities (ASUU), Plateau State College (PLASU), Bokkos, has suspended the strike it launched into, over some unresolved points, together with allowances.
Recall that the Plateau State department of ASUU had final Friday declared an indefinite strike.
DAILY POST reported that hardly per week after the College launched into the indefinite strike, the state Governor Simon Lalong constituted a 7-Man Committee to look into the welfare of employees of the College.
Nevertheless, the Chairman of the union, Dr Bentse Pamson, in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday stated the hanging employees agreed to droop the strike after a lot deliberation with the State Authorities’s 7-man Negotiation Committee, headed by the State Head of Service, Mr Azi Izang, on Tuesday, NAN stories.
“Consequently, round 12.00am on Wednesday, we determined as a union to solely droop our strike and to not name it off, pending how dedicated and prudently the state authorities will implement the settlement it reached with us.
“By this, it means any breach of the phrases of the settlement shall see us resume the strike in full power,” Pamson stated.
He additional revealed that college students of the college have been pleading that the strike be referred to as off to permit for the resumption of educational actions within the establishment.
