Reinstate 21 sacked workers or we will embark on strike – Organised labour, Ekiti

The organised labour in Ekiti State has given the Speaker of the State Home of Meeting, Hon Funminiyi Afuye a 7-day ultimatum to reinstate 21 employees that have been allegedly sacked by the Home of Meeting service fee.

The labour union threatened that employees would begin an indefinite strike from March 10, 2021, if the Meeting defy the directive.

The employees have been in January 2021 shoved out of the system over alleged unlawful recruitment into the service by the fast previous administration.

The letter dated third March 2021 and made accessible to journalists on Wednesday, was signed by the Secretaries of Nigerian Labour Congress, Com Akinyemi Eunice, Secretary, Commerce Union Congress, Com Kuloogun Lawrence, and the Joint Negotiating Council, Com. Gbenga Olowoyo.
