SAHRC - SAHRC calls for an urgent meeting with Clicks

The SA Human Rights Fee is asking for an pressing assembly with Clicks.

That is after the controversy that sparked on Friday a few hair advert that portrayed black ladies’s hair as ‘Frizzy and Uninteresting’ & ‘Dry and Broken,’ whereas white ladies’s hair portrayed as ‘Regular and Advantageous.’

On Monday morning, EFF members gathered round Clicks shops throughout the nation for a protest, after the health and beauty retailer failed to offer EFF calls for in response to the advert.

EFF has tagged the advert as ‘offensive and racist.’

Furthermore, Clicks have suspended two of its staff following the controversy surrounding the advert.

Vikesh Ramsunder, Clicks Group CEO mentioned the incident that occurred seems so disappointing which might result in transformation for the organisation.
