A mixed crew of safety operatives has killed eight suspected bandits in Safana Native Authorities Space of Katsina State.
SP Gambo Isah, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), made this disclosure in an announcement issued to newsmen on Monday in Katsina.
Isah mentioned, “On the 26 and 28 Feb., Police in collaboration with the Military, collectively raided bandits’ camps behind Guzurawa and Garin-Gambo villages, infamous bandits enclaves, all in Safana Native Authorities Space of Katsina.
“The operation was profitable because the crew neutralised eight bandits, burnt 9 bikes, and recovered one AK 47 rifle with 5 rounds of seven.62mm ammunition.”
The PPRO additionally mentioned the police foiled bandits assaults on Zango village, Kankara Native Authorities Space of Katsina.
Isah reported that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Kankara and his crew responded to a misery name that bandits of their numbers attacked the group taking pictures sporadically.
He mentioned, “The crew had a fierce gun duel with the hoodlums and overpowered them.
“Consequently, the bandits fled and deserted one AK 49 rifle with three magazines.”
Isah mentioned the police and different safety businesses would proceed the onslaught towards bandits, armed robbers, kidnappers and different criminals within the state.
