Channels Tv has apologised to the Nationwide Broadcasting Fee (NBC), for the infraction of a broadcasting code.
This was confirmed by Franca Aiyetan, NBC’s Director of Public Affairs, in an interview with NAN on Tuesday.
Aiyetan defined that the Fee’s letter to the TV station was a regulatory instrument to examine excesses.
She insisted that the letter didn’t search to shut down nor sanction the station.
“It was really not for public consumption. It was not a press launch. It was a regulatory instrument to examine the excesses of the station.
“It’s a station that gained an award however we are saying on this specific state of affairs, you didn’t deal with it professionally.
“It’s doable to bridge the general public peace and that was what the letter conveyed to Channels TV stated, to which the TV station has responded, saying we apologise, we did mistaken,” Aiyetan stated.
NBC has been beneath fierce criticism after the letter discovered its approach into the general public area.
