A Chinese language expatriate was on Tuesday night kidnapped in Ekiti State and his whereabouts is but to be ascertained by safety businesses.
The person was stated to have been kidnapped at Igbemo Ekiti in Irepodun Ifelodun Native Authorities Space of the State.
The expatriate who was recognized to be a part of the consultants supervising the development of Ilupeju-Ire-Igbemo-Ijan highway, was stated to have been waylaid at Igbemo Ekiti whereas driving in a Hilux Van and forcefully taken away by the gunmen.
The most recent abduction occurred three months after the same incident had occurred within the State when two foreigners had been kidnapped alongside new Ado-Iyin highway.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officers, Ekiti Command, ASP Sunday Abutu, stated the operatives of Fast Response Squad (RRS) have launched a manhunt for the abductors.
“Our RRS males swung into motion instantly the information broke out. They’re combing all the encompassing bushes and we’re certain that the abductee shall be launched quickly”.
