Professor Ibrahim Maqari, the Deputy Chief Imam of the Nationwide Mosque, Abuja, has mentioned these killed by bandits and kidnappers will immediately be going to “paradise.”

Maqari disclosed this whereas stressing that Islam forbids Muslims to pay cash as ransom to enemies they’re at battle with.

The Deputy Chief Imam spoke throughout Ramadan’s tafsir in Abuja.

Maqari mentioned kidnappers shouldn’t be paid a ransom so as to starve them of the funds they might use to spice up their actions.

He mentioned: “Since Allah (SWT) has forbidden the fee of cash to an enemy who’s at battle with you, so as to not empower them to proceed to struggle you, then contributing cash as ransom for the discharge of kidnapped individuals, is haram (prohibited).

“However he (the legal) has been made conscious that the cash isn’t going to be paid and the one who’s killed (the sufferer) goes to paradise.

“However so long as folks will proceed to provide a ransom to safe the discharge of their family members, the recipients of the cash will proceed to make use of.”
