Troops arrest six military imposters in Asaba

Troops of Operation Delta Hawk (OPDH) have arrested six suspected navy imposters on Midwifery Faculty Street in Okpanam space of Asaba in Delta State.

Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Yarima, Director, Military Public Relations, mentioned this in an announcement on Thursday in Abuja.

Yarima mentioned the suspects have been apprehended on Tuesday at about 11:10 pm., following credible intelligence report.

He gave their names as Nwokoye Chidera Emmanuel (20), Nwokoye Francis (24), Chigozie Arinze (23), Kingsley Ndukuba (32), Chidera Anichukwu (21) and Chinedu Akwali (29).

Yarima mentioned the suspects have been in possession of 1 Mercedes Benz GL350, a Toyota Corolla salon automobile with registration quantity ABJ 49 AA and one cloth nationale bayonet, once they have been arrested.

“A pair of navy kits was discovered with one of many suspects-Chidera who claimed to be a Cadet on the Southern Maritime Academy in Ugheli.

“He confessed to have gotten the navy kits from one Hassan nicknamed (Commander).

“In the meantime the suspects have been handed over to 63 Brigade Army Police Group for additional investigation and prosecution.

“Consequently, the Brigade needs to name on most people and legislation abiding residents of the state to be weary of such individuals who parade themselves as navy personnel and to report any suspicious individual(s) to any nearest navy formation/ safety businesses,” he mentioned.
