The Nigerian army killed a number of members of Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP) after the invasion of Damasak in Borno on Sunday.
Damasak is the principle city of Mobbar Native Authorities Space.
Some residents and safety operatives misplaced their lives, whereas others took cowl, after the sect stormed the city on gun vans and bikes.
Following the overrun, Nigerian Air Power (NAF) dispatched fighter choppers for aerial bombardments.
The bottom forces neutralized insurgents who tried to flee in the course of the air raid.
The offensive destroyed three gun vans and one Canter Truck, an intelligence officer informed PRNigeria,
The bottom troops have been led by Lt. Col Steven Nammu of 195 Battalion Tremendous Camp in Damasak.
The weapons recovered included AK-47 rifles, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and different deadly arms.
