Two residents of Adamawa State have been arrested for allegedly vandalizing an electrical energy line and stealing a few of the cables.
The Adamawa State Police Command which effected the arrest, mentioned it recovered some armoured cables and a Toyota Corolla automotive from the suspects.
The command in a press release obtained on Sunday morning from the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, mentioned operatives of the Command connected to Yoia Division, “Whereas on Space patrol alongside Rugange – Njoboliyo highway, arrested two infamous vandals.”
Nguroje named the suspects as Idi Wakil, 62 years, and Babangida Bello, 54 years, each residents of Madumari ward in Yola South Native Authorities Space.
He mentioned the 2 had been recognized to have been vandalising, stealing and promoting out armored cables that join Njoboliyo and different villages to Yola, ensuing to energy outage in these areas.
He added that the act had been inflicting loss to the Yola Electrical energy Distribution firm (YEDC) which owns the cables.
