Two suspected cultists killed in Ilorin

Two suspected cultists have been reportedly killed on Tuesday in a renewed conflict between rival cult teams in Ilorin, Kwara State.

DAILY POST studies that the cultists have been allegedly killed on Tuesday morning at Aduralere, Amilegbe space, very near late Inspector Common of Police, Sunday Adewusi’s residence in Ilorin.

Police operatives reported to the scene to seize the incident, although the id of the individuals killed couldn’t be ascertained and causes for the renewed conflict have been scanty.

Confirming the event to DAILY POST, the spokesman of the state police command, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, stated ” Two males suspected to be cultists, have been hacked down round Aduralere space of Ilorin metro by a suspected rival cult group within the wee hours of at present 16/3/2021.”

He stated, “Efforts are in high gear to get the perpetrators of the heinous crime arrested, whereas calm has been absolutely restored.”

Okasanmi, stated the Police Commissioner, Mr Mohammed Lawal Bagega, has directed DPOs to activate aggressive patrols of the state.

He additionally suggested law-abiding residents to go about their lawful companies.
